About this reportIn general, angling is in decline. The decline is slight, but there is a definite trend. This is largely due to changing lifestyles, in particular with more pressures on peoples time, rather than any changes in demographics, the economy or political factors. However, to some extent, all of these are also likely to have inhibited the growth of fishing, and perhaps contributed to its decline to some extent. They are most importantly shaping the future of fishing, and consequently will affect fishing holidays over the next decade and beyond. |
