Different cultural, legal and business challenges affect the appetite for, and adoption of, business process outsourcing (BPO) differently in each European country. Labour regulations remain a significant barrier to BPO in some of the largest European nations. More commonality across different countries will occur as and when there is more socio-political unification across Europe. However, such change is largely out of the hands of vendor organisations and will take a long time to have an effect on overall BPO market growth. In this report, we provide an overview of current challenges and opportunities in the European BPO market in 2007, and a view of the competitive landscape, providing guidance on future developments to 2010. |
