Conductive Polymers
Market Report, June 2006, 3360  €

Description

This study examines the conductive polymer market in the US with historical (1995, 2000 and 2005) data and forecasts to the years 2010 and 2015 presented by technology (carbon black powder-filled, metallized and other),resin (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, polyvinyl chloride and others), function (electromagnetic interference, radio frequency interference, electrostatic discharge and other), application (product components, antistatic packaging and others), and markets (electrical and electronic equipment, industrial, packaging and others).
As defined in this study, the term “conductive polymer” refers to specially modified resins with static dissipative or electrical conducting properties.
These properties are incorporated into base resins through a number of methods including metallization, the application of special paints and the addition of conductive or antistatic fillers.
Several polymers with inherent conductive or static dissipative traits have also been developed.
