In 2006, China's PCB industry entered another peak period. With the production value of USD 12.102 billion, China exceeded Japan and became the world's largest PCB manufacturing center. In the forthcoming years, China's PCB industry will still enjoy enormous development margin, and the production value will maintain a growth rate of 20%, i.e., the proportion to global production value will increase to 31.0% in 2009 from 24.9% in 2006.At present, China is in serious shortage of domestic HDI production capacity. For instance, in 2005, China's domestic HDI panel demand reached about 6 million square meters, yet the supply volume was not more than 1.5 million square meters, which can only meet about 1/4 of domestic demand. In 2006, China's HDI output growth rate exceeded 50%, yet merely able to meet around 1/3 of domestic demand. In 2006, China's monthly CCL production capacity was about 13.58 million sheets. Considering the trend that global production capacity shifts to China and the rapid development of downstream PCB industry, it's estimated that the growth rate of 25% in domestic CCL production capacity should not cause obvious excessive supply, i.e., to increase 3.4 million sheets per month in 2007 and 4.2 million sheets per month in 2008.By the end of 2007, the company's production capacity will be escalated to 3.05 million sheets with the total annual production capacity of 43 million square meters, up 74.2% over the year of 2006. |
